Privacy Policy

We keep it simple: we don't collect your data, we don't store your arguments, and we don't sell anything. Here's the full story.

1. What we collect

ToldYouSo.app does not require sign-up or collect personal information. The argument text you submit is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a verdict and is not stored by us. We don't know who you are, and we'd prefer to keep it that way.

2. Local storage

We use browser local storage only to remember your verdict count and install prompt preferences. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

3. Third-party services

  • Anthropic API — processes your argument text to generate verdicts. Subject to Anthropic's own privacy policy at anthropic.com. Anthropic does not store prompts beyond what's needed for processing.
  • Google AdSense — may display contextual advertisements. Google may use cookies to serve relevant ads. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com.
  • Netlify — our hosting provider. May collect standard server logs including IP addresses. See Netlify's privacy policy.
  • PayPal — processes optional tip payments. Subject to PayPal's privacy policy.

4. Cookies

We do not set first-party cookies. Google AdSense may set third-party cookies for ad personalisation. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google's ad settings.

5. Children's privacy

ToldYouSo.app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us at hello@toldyouso.app.

6. Your rights

Since we don't store personal data, there's nothing to request, delete, or export. If you have concerns about data processed by our third-party providers, please refer to their respective privacy policies.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
